Lacson hands over stipends for project free scholars

A total of P1.7 million were released to 998 Project FREE (Flagships to Reach Educational Excellence) Paglaum teacher-scholars (Batch 2) of the Negros Occidental provincial government in a distribution held at the Panaad Park in Bacolod City on Saturday.

The beneficiaries are public elementary and high school teachers in the province who avail of post-graduate studies.

The activity was facilitated by the Negros Occidental Scholarship Program headed by Karen Dinsay and the Provincial Treasurer’s Office.

Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson was present at the activity and lauded the teacher-scholars for observing safety protocols.

The governor also told them to support the COVID-19 vaccination program of the government to slowly recover and move forward towards development./WDJ
