P142K ‘shabu’ seized in Bacolod buy-bust

Around 22 grams of suspected shabu valued at P142,800 were seized from three individuals following a buy-bust operation at Purok Sea Wall in Bacolod City’s Barangay Punta Taytay on Tuesday, February 9.

Police identified the arrested as 53-year-old Victor Embarquez, a resident of Greensville 1 Subdivision in the city’s Barangay Estefania; 37-year-old Martin Stuwart Solis, a resident of Royal Meadows Subdivision in Barangay Villamonte; and 44-year-old Adriano Serra of Mountain View Subdivision in the city’s Barangay Mandalagan.

According to the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit of Police Regional Office 6, they arrested Embarquez after he allegedly sold one sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover cop in exchange for P500.

Police also arrested Solis and Serra as they were in the area during the deal, having in their possession one sachet of suspected shabu each.

A follow-up search yielded a total of nine sachets of suspected shabu, a plastic canister, a mobile phone, and suspected drug proceeds amounting to P1,300.

The three suspects were detained at the Police Station 9, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./DGB, WDJ
