During the first part of their course, the trainees underwent military exercises and drills as well as class instructions on basic soldiery, customs, and traditions of the PCG.

For half a year, the new PCG members also underwent further training in implementing their mandate of service, particularly in maritime law enforcement, maritime security, maritime safety, maritime search and rescue, and marine environmental protection.

PCG will immediately deploy CGMC Class 76-2019 in order to help with the ongoing response against COVID-19 as well as to support the PCG’s other initiatives./DGB, WDJ
