Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, together with Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz, on Tuesday led the turnover of barangay insurance benefits worth a total of P830,000 to beneficiaries from the different districts of the province.
The checks were received by the families of punong barangays, kagawads, tanods, and other barangay employees insured under the provincial government’s Barangay Insurance Program for Barangay Tanods and Barangay Officials and Employees.
Lacson expressed his condolences to the families, and he hopes it could help them ease some financial burden.
The governor also advised them to continue practicing health and safety protocols in their respective communities in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic.
The said insurance program is under the Special Programs and Concerns Division headed by Engr. Jose Maria Amugod./WDJ
