With the local government units (LGUs) in Negros Occidental now busy preparing their plans for mass vaccinations against coronavirus disease 2019, or COVID-19, the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) said yesterday that they are also busy preparing to make their police stations as vaccination centers.

NOCPPO spokesperson, Police Lt. Abegael Donasco, said they are currently conducting an inventory of the personnel and equipment that would be needed for vaccination.

She said they are currently identifying police officers who are also registered nurses.

Overall, Donasco noted the police stations in the province can be used as vaccination centers.

Previously, President Rodrigo Duterte ordered the Philippine National Police to prepare the police stations nationwide for mass vaccination.

Aside from police stations, several schools, universities and parish churches have also offered to use their facilities to the government in order to vaccinate the populace./DGB, WDJ
