A 26-year-old man hacked his uncle in Barangay Gama Pequeño, Calinog, Iloilo around 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 28.

Calinog police said 59-year-old Joel Celeste, a resident of the village, sustained multiple hack wounds on different parts of his body. He was brought to the Calinog District Hospital.

Police investigation revealed that Celeste and his nephew Stanley Lebuna were having a drinking spree. A heated argument later ensued between them which led to hacking.

Officers of the Calinog Police Station conducted a manhunt operation against the suspect, who fled after the incident./WDJ
