Himamaylan resident nabbed for frustrated homicide charge

A man wanted for a frustrated homicide charge was arrested at Sitio Pacol in Barangay Mambagaton in Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental.

Himamaylan City acting police chief, Police Major Romeo M. Vargas, identified the suspect as Dionesio Singer Gravela, Jr., 53, a resident of the place.

He was arrested around 9:50 a.m. on Thursday on the strength of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Walter Zorilla of the Regional Trial Court – Branch 55 in Himamaylan City for the crime of violating Article 249 of the Revised Penal Code of the Philippines for “frustrated homicide.”

The court set P72,000 bail bond for his temporary liberty. He was detained at the Himamaylan City Police Station./DGB, WDJ
