A drug suspect was arrested in a buy-bust operation around 2:20 p.m. on Monday, January 18, at Purok Rosas, located in Bago City’s Barangay Calumangan.

Authorities identified the suspect as 46-year-old Jonie Mercado, a resident of Barangay Banago in Bacolod City.

Bago City police confiscated three sachets of suspected shabu, P500 in bust-money, cash proceeds amounting to P457, mobile phone, and a motorcycle.

The suspect was detained at the Bago City Police Station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./WDJ
