The local political parties of the United Negros Alliance (UNegA) and Love Negros will retain their alliance in the upcoming 2022 elections.
But Negros Occidental Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer, who also chairs UNegA, said even though they are allied with Love Negros, it cannot be avoided that some members of the two groups will very likely encounter one another, particularly for the mayoralty race.
Ferrer said despite the political rivalry, he believes the elections in the province will still remain peaceful, as their coalition with Love Negros remains strong.
The vice governor said some of the politicians who lost during the last elections are planning to make a return in 2022./DGB, WDJ
