Police arrested three persons over online gambling around 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 17, in Barangay Poblacion, Estancia , Iloilo.

Estancia police identified the arrested as 49-year-old Joel Baradas of Villa Reyes Street, 39-year-old Rafael Dela Cruz of Barangay Malbog, and 54-year-old Gina Clemente of Barangay Bulaquena, all in Estancia.

The three were caught soliciting bets for online game Lucky 4, police said.

Recovered from their possession were bet money amounting to P1,040 and Lucky 4 slip.

The suspects were detained at the Estancia Police Station for violating Republic Act 9287, which increases penalties for illegal numbers games, amending certain provisions of Presidential Decree No. 1602./WDJ
