A rape suspect in Guimaras province was arrested last Monday, November 30, in Cabarles Street, Leon, Iloilo.

Authorities identified the suspect as 28-year-old Del Mark Gonzaga of Barangay Barusong, Tigbauan, Iloilo.

Officers of the Nueva Valencia Police Station arrested Gonzaga through the strength of an arrest warrant for the crime of two counts of rape.

Nueva Valencia police said the rape incident happened in Nueva Valencia town in Guimaras sometime in 2011.

The suspect is now detained at the Nueva Valencia Police Station with no bail recommended./WDJ.
