A 30-year-old man driving a motorcycle was hit by a pickup in Barangay Bolong Oeste, Sta. Barbara, Iloilo around 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 24.

The injured driver, Regie Gole of Poblacion Ilaya, Tapaz, Capiz, was brought to the Sta. Barbara Rural Health Unit for treatment.

According to Sta. Barbara police, Gole was crossing the road when he was accidentally hit by a pickup owned by the Department of Public Works and Highways driven by 39-year-old Antonio Ortigosa of Melliza Street, Zarraga, Iloilo.

Ortigoza was was arrested and detained in the lockup cell of Sta. Barbara Police Station./WDJ
