A “habal-habal” driver from Toboso town in Negros Occidental was arrested for attempted and frustrated murder charges at Bangga 9 in Bacolod City’s Barangay Sum-ag around 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 22.

Police identified the suspect as 29-year-old Mariano Baylosis, Jr. alias “Sadam,” a resident of Sitio Kanagka-an in Barangay General Luna, Toboso.

Joint operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group – Bacolod City and Toboso Police Station arrested the suspect through the strength of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Estefanio Libutan, Jr. of the Regional Trial Court – Branch 57 in San Carlos City dated July 18, 2019.

The court recommended P120,000 for the suspect’s attempted murder case and P200,000 for frustrated murder case.

Baylosis is now detained at the Toboso Police Station./WDJ
