A suspected drug offender was arrested Wednesday morning after he was caught in possession of suspected shabu at a checkpoint in Purok Paglaum in Sagay City’s Barangay Paraiso.

Authorities identified the arrested as 19-year-old Jerald Ti-in alias “Dodong” of Purok Santa Cruz in the city’s Barangay Old Poblacion.

Officers of the Sagay City Police Station flagged down Ti-in who was driving a motorcycle with no side mirror. But the suspect tried to escape, prompting the policemen to chase him.

Ti-in was eventually arrested wherein he yielded one heat-sealed sachet of suspected shabu worth P2,550.
