Filipina center Jack Animam had a solid debut as Shih Hsin University cruised to a 115-44 annihilation of Taiwan University in the University Basketball Alliance on Monday at the Taiwan University of Science and Technology Gym.

The former National University Lady Bulldogs center hardly showed any rust as she tallied 18 points, on 7-of-8 field goal shooting, to go along with six steals, five rebounds, and three blocks for the defending champions Shin Hsin.
This was the 21-year-old Animam’s first competitive basketball game in close to a year or since competing for the Philippine women’s basketball team in the 30th Southeast Asian Games.
It did not take long for Animam to score her first basket in the Taiwan basketball league as she converted just seconds into the contest from a pass by Lin Die. She, however, was tagged with her second foul late in the opening frame.
Animam, who is taking a master’s degree in advertising, continued with her offensive outburst for Shin Hsin with her inside conversions as the lead ballooned to as high as 106-29.
Providing support to the 6-foot-5 Filipina import were Lin Die with 18 points, eight rebounds, and four assists, Chen Yuti with 16 points and five steals and Yang Shuyan with 15 points.
Chen Yixuan was the lone player to reach double figures for the Taiwan University with 12 points./ASC, WDJ
