BacTrac app to be used in Bacolod’s 3 major markets

The Bacolod City government is now obligating all establishments in the city to use the BacTrac app for all customers and vendors, especially in the city’s three major markets.

Executive Assistant Ernie Pineda, cluster head on markets, says he has called a meeting with officials of the Central, Burgos and Libertad markets in Bacolod City order to remind their respective vendors to use the BacTrac contact tracing app.

Under City Ordinance No. 941, all establishments and government offices in the city are obligated to use the BacTrac app, while residents and visitors in the territorial jurisdiction of the city are also required to register.

The  Sangguniang Panlungsod, meanwhile, is now drawing up plans to introduce penalties for establishments who don’t use the contact tracing app./DGB, WDJ
