Provincial administrator, Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, assured yesterday that the provincial government is ready to give extra bonus to employees once President Rodrigo Duterte gives the order.
Diaz said that extra bonus for capitol employees would be determined once the book of the province’s financial record closes at the end of the year.
However he said that capitol employees should not expect a huge amount because of the COVID-19 pandemic that has affected the income and tax collections of the province.
About the Collective Negotiation Agreement, Diaz said employees should not expect a bigger amount.
Diaz said that while the capitol has funds for the bonus, it would be given to employees based on law and that awards which were the basis for the extra bonus previously given to employees were shelved this year understandably because of the pandemic.
“The governor has been emphasizing and giving us orders to save,” he said.
“For now live by your 13th and 14th month pay,” Diaz advised the employees.
The 14th month pay, he said, will be released to the employees on November 15.
He added that the bonus that awaits the employees this Christmas would be the PIE, CNA and across the board that will be hopefully announced by the President./DGB, WDJ
