Victorias City Mayor Francis Fredrick Palanca went back to work on Tuesday after completing his remaining days in quarantine.

In a post on the city’s Victorias Malihaw Facebook page, the mayor is seen presiding over the meeting of the city’s Emergency Operations Task Force on COVID-19.

Earlier, his son, Councilor Derek Palanca, said his father is fast recovering after he was hit with the coronavirus.

The mayor was discharged from Bacolod Adventist Medical Center over the weekend after he was admitted and tested positive of the virus.

His medical record showed that he suffered mild COVID-19.

His son said that based on his doctor’s remarks the mayor is “clinically stable with no recurrence. No further quarantine needed but recommended use of face mask, face shield, social distancing (minimum public health standards).”

Derek said his father is functional and is just isolated in a quarantine facility in Victorias./DGB, WDJ
