The Office of the Civil Defense (OCD) turned over 500 sets of personal protective equipment (PPE) to Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) intended for the use of police frontliners in Western Visayas.

OCD-6 regional director Roberto Nuñez personally turned over the PPE to Police General Patric Villacorte, PRO-6’s Deputy Regional Director for Administration, during yesterday’s flag raising ceremony at PRO-6 headquarters in Camp Gen. Martin Teofilo B. Delgado in Fort San Pedro, Iloilo City.

Villacorte said the PPE will be turned over to the different police units in the region.

“These donations will be a big help to enhance PNP’s capability in protecting its personnel while battling COVID-19,” Villacorte said.

He added that the continued support coming from other agencies is a proof that PNP personnel in Western Visayas has gained the trust and respect of the stakeholders./WDJ
