The number of coronavirus disease 2019, or COVID-19, cases in Negros Occidental has now reached 5,055 based on data released by the provincial government yesterday afternoon.
The Provincial Health Office (PHO) reported that as of November 8, the province has 773 active COVID-19 cases. The number of recoveries, meanwhile, has reached 4,139 while 143 have died from the disease.
The PHO further stated domestic cases have reached 3,710, followed by locally stranded individuals at 766, frontliners – 252, returning overseas Filipino workers – 238, and persons outside of residence – 59.
Four of the cases, meanwhile, were tagged from other provinces, while 27 are still undergoing classification./DGB, WDJ
