Four persons were caught engaging in illegal cockfight at Sitio Lupa in Hinoba-an town’s Barangay Asia 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Police identified the arrested as 55-year-old William Virgino, 55-year-old Romeo Daquit, 60-year-old Salvador Amar, and 38-year-old Joseph Pasague, all residents of the said place.

Hinoba-an police recovered six fighting cocks, a gaff and P500 bet money.

The suspects were detained at the Hinoba-an Police Station, facing charges for violation of Presidential Decree 449, or the Cockfighting Law of 1974./WDJ
