A four-year-old boy was killed in what the police described a botched attempt to kill his father in Himamaylan City’s Barangay Mahalang around 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 14.

Himamaylan City police report showed that the gunmen, 25-year-old Jigger and 30-year-old JR De la Torre, wanted to shoot 28-year-old June Lee Salgado, but the bullet hit the latter’s son John Lloyd. The father and son were riding on a carabao on their way home.

The boy died on the spot after sustaining a gunshot wound on the head.

Police investigation revealed that June Lee had a previous altercation with the De la Torre brothers.

As of press time, the Himamaylan City police station is still conducting a manhunt operation against the suspects who fled after the incident./WDJ
