There are now 323 Western Visayans who died due to coronavirus disease 2019, or Covid-19, data from the Department of Health (DOH) 6 on Saturday, October 10, showed.

In DOH 6 Covid-19 Regional Case Bulletin No. 197 issued on Saturday, Bacolod City has the most number of Covid-19 deaths with 112.

Iloilo City came in second with 73 deaths followed by Negros Occidental with 60, Iloilo province with 45, Capiz – 24, Aklan – seven, and one each for Guimaras and Antique.

Meanwhile, the total confirmed Covid-19 cases in the region is 13,416 including the 196 new confirmed cases on Saturday.

Of the total cases, 3,849 are active cases while 9,244 have recovered from the viral infection.

As to the disposition of active cases, 75.58 percent are asymptomatic, 18.03 percent are mild case, 4.70 percent are severe cases while1.53 for verification./WDJ
