Bacolodnons Justin Chua of Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters and Kib Montalbo of TNT Tropang Giga moved on to the semifinals round of the PBA Three-point Shootout Charity Virtual Tournament following their quarterfinals win.
Chua reached the next round of the competition after a 245-205 victory over Rain or Shine Elasto Painters’ Rey Nambatac, while Montalbo defeated San Miguel Beermen’s Von Pessumal, 208-204, over the weekend.
Other players who reached the semifinals round were Blackwater Elite’s Chris Bitoon, Alaska Aces’ Robbie
Herndon, Meralco Bolts’ Nard John Pinto, and Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Kings’ Kevin Ferrer.
The six semifinalists will play four rounds with a time limit of 1:30-minute per round. The three winners will advance to the championship round.
The virtual tournament was participated by 24 players, two each from the 12 PBA squads. The tournament matches were held using the mobile app game PBA Slam.
Top prize will be P250,000 which will go to the charitable institution selected by the winning team./ASC, WDJ
