Majority of NegOcc Covid-19 cases come from LGUs near Bacolod

The majority of the coronavirus disease 2019, or Covid-19, cases recorded in the province of Negros Occidental are from town and cities which share a border with Bacolod City.

Based on data released on Monay night by the Provincial Health Office (PHO), Talisay City recorded the highest number of cases for the province with 297, followed by Silay City with 282.

Bago City also recorded 195 Covid-19 cases while the town of Murcia has 104 cases.

Meanwhile, Sagay City which was tagged fourth in the number of Covid-19 cases has a total of 123.

PHO records also revealed that as of September 13, Negros Occidental had a total of 2,119 positive cases, with 1,289 of them reported as still active.

A total of 793 have already recovered, with 37 fatalities, PHO said./DGB, WDJ
