Toboso launches relief ops for town residents stuck in Bacolod

The Toboso municipal government has again launched relief operations for Toboseños working in Bacolod City that reverted to modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) starting September 8.

Mayor Richard Jaojoco said they are targeting  at least 300 Toboseños trapped in the city.

“If there is more we will expand our relief operations to Murcia, Bago, Silay, Talisay,” Jaojoco said.

He added that they started on Wednesday wherein their relief operations are based on the number of Household Quarantine Pass of the beneficiaries.

Earlier, Jaojoco has launched the first two relief operations for his townmates in Bacolod and surrounding areas.

“We will take care of all Toboseños,” the mayor said.

Meanwhile, on orders of EB Magalona Mayor Marvin Malacon, some municipal government personnel distributed free fish to residents last Wednesday.

A Canter mini-truck filled with basins of local sardines known as tuloy went around the poblacion to distribute the fish.

Health protocols like the wearing of face masks and social distancing were strictly observed to ensure the safety of everyone.
