If the mass testing for the coronavirus is to be replicated in other areas of Negros Occidental, an effective strategy should be studied, Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer said.
“We cannot just tell people that they should be tested and stay home while waiting for the results,” Ferrer said. “What will they eat during the period?”
Ferrer said it’s good if it would be just three days, “what if it’s two weeks?”
Because the mass testing is “voluntary,” there should be support for those who want to undergo the testing, the vice governor added.
A good example is the food packs sent by Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson to the cities of Silay, Talisay and Bago, and Murcia town during the recent Timeout Weekend Mass testing, Ferrer said./DGB, WDJ
