Bacolodnon volleybelle Erika Deloria has vowed to make the most of the opportunity given to her by the Enderun College Lady Titans to show her wares in the big leagues in Manila.
Speaking to Watchmen Daily Journal on Thursday, the 5-foot-7 former Bacolod Tay Tung High School Thunderbolts starter said it was a realization of a dream for her to be recruited to play for the Lady Titans.
“It was really my dream to play in Manila and I am glad it will now be fulfilled with Enderun,” Deloria said. “It was a prestigious school so I am blessed that they recognized my ability.”
Deloria was supposed to join the Lady Titans this year but the Covid-19 pandemic has postponed it. She was, however, already enrolled as a freshman student for Enderun.
Prior to her move to the Thunderbolts for senior high school, the 19-year-old Deloria was a former member of the Trinity Christian School. She also played several times for Western Visayas in Palarong Pambansa, National PRISAA and Rebisco Volleyball League.
Deloria was one of the three players from the Thunderbolts who were recruited to play for the Lady Titans aside from Rhean Almendralejo and Shane Carmona./ASC, DGB
