A drug offender was arrested 5:20 p.m. on Monday following a buy-bust operation at Purok Nabantuan in Escalante City’s Barangay Balintawak.

Authorities identified the suspect as 41-year-old Romeo Nardo Apas of the said barangay.

Escalante City police confiscated five sachets of suspected shabu, including the buy-bust item.

The suspect is now detained at the Escalante City Police Station on charges in violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./WDJ
