As the enhanced community quarantine to contain the spread of the coronavirus disease, or Covid-19, starts today in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental, the provincial government also launched the “Bantay Negrense” campaign, which Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said will fortify efforts to protect Negrosanons from Covid-19.
“We will declare ‘Hot Zones’ along streets and barangays across the entire province wherein resides one Covid-19 positive patient, one Person Under Investigation, or at least five persons under monitoring have been officially declared,” Lacson explained.
“This is our pioneering strategy to promote and campaign public awareness to stay at home, avoid hot zones, and report suspected persons under monitoring, patients under investigation, and violators of the enhanced community quarantine,” he added./DGB, WDJ
