Bertolano: UP is ‘very persistent’

Volleyball player Alyssa Bertolano revealed schools in Manila have been taking an interest in her following impressive showings for Bacolod Tay Tung High School.
“It is flattering to hear that some schools in Manila are interested in me,” the Talisay City native said. “It makes me want to strive harder.”
“So far, it is the University of the Philippines who is very persistent,” she added.
Meanwhile, Bertolano expressed frustration with not getting to compete in the 2020 Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association (WVRAA), which has been postponed due to ongoing concerns surrounding the coronavirus disease, or Covid-19.
“It is really frustrating because it’s my last opportunity to represent NOPSSCEA in WVRAA Meet and, possibly, Western Visayas in Palarong Pambansa but there are things that are beyond our control,” she said./ASC, WDJ
