John Paul Erram called his transfer to TNT KaTropa an opportunity to win his first PBA championship. The center said he was sad to leave the NLEX Road Warriors but said of his move, “At least napunta pa rin ako sa team na may magandang chance na manalo ng championship (At least I went to a team with a good chance of winning the championship).”
He arrived following a massive trade where KaTropa center Marion Magat, along with a future first round draft pick, were offered to Blackwater Elite; Blackwater Elite small forward Anthony Semerad, center Rabeh Al-Hussaini, and two future first round draft picks were extended to NLEX; and, in exchange for Erram, TNT provided Eduardo Daquioag, Yousef Taha, Marion Magat, and two future draft picks to the Road Warriors.
At TNT, Erram joins Jayson Castro, Roger Pogoy, Jeth Troy Rosario, and Bobby Ray Parks, Jr./ASC, WDJ
