According to data recently released by the Negros Occidental Provincial Health Office, as of 3:00 p.m last Monday, March 23, Kabankalan City reported 978 patients under monitoring for the coronavirus disease, or Covid-19. Following Kabankalan City were Cadiz City with 840 cases and Escalante City reporting 732.

Among the 978 in Kabankalan City, 874 are under active monitoring while 102 have been cleared following a 14-day quarantine.

The remaining two were listed as “lost to follow-up.”

The city also reported a total of four patients under investigation, three of which have already been discharged.

The data also showed every locality within the province recording over 100 patients under monitoring except for Candoni with 52, all of whom are under active monitoring; and Pulupandan at 99, with three cleared and one developing symptoms./WDJ
