A patient under investigation for the coronavirus disease, or Covid-19, passed away in Bacolod City prior to receiving their test results. Bacolod City Inter-Agency Task Force Against Novel Coronavirus spokesperson, Dr. Grace Tan, identified the patient as a 60-year-old man with stage 4 cancer.

She said the patient was under investigation after the patient was having difficulty breathing. In addition, the patient did not have any travel history and claimed to have not come in contact with individuals possibly exposed to the virus.

Meanwhile, Tan also confirmed a new patient under investigation, bringing the total in the city to five.

The latest case had recently visited the United States and Metro Manila and currently confined at a hospital in the city.

As of yesterday, the city has a total 1,526 persons under monitoring./DGB, WDJ
