A man killed his brothers over the weekend in Passi City’s Barangay Tuburan. Authorities identified the fatalities as Ronald and Renato Pappelera, both were 42-years-old and residents of the said area.
According to Passi City Police Station investigator, Police Staff Sergeant Dennis Palma, the incident occurred on Saturday around 8:30 p.m. while the victims and another brother, 50-year-old Rogelio Pappelera, were drinking. An argument ensued between Ronald and Rogelio, which developed into a fistfight. Renato tried to pacify the fight; however, the assailant pulled out a knife and stabbed both brothers.
The law enforcement official said the suspect later surrendered and admitted to the killing.
“We are preparing two counts of parricide against the suspect, who told us he is ready to face criminal cases,” Palma said.
The suspect is currently detained at the Passi City Police Station./WDJ
