The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) have apprehended a total 728 individuals in violation of the imposed curfew due to ongoing efforts to combat the coronavirus disease, or Covid-19. According to BCPO spokesperson, Police Lt. Colonel Ariel Pico, the violators were reported between March 15 and 21 by all 10 of the city’s police stations.
The apprehended individuals were composed of minors and adults; however, most were adults, who will face charges.
According to the executive order issued by Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia, the city was placed under a general community quarantine from March 14 to April 14, which included a curfew between 10:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m.
“Any person failing or refusing to observe this curfew measure may be dealt with appropriately by the Philippine National Police,” the order read./DGB, WDJ
