After Ilonggo players Gerry Abadiano and Ian Espinosa, along with Negrense player Reyland Torres, were earlier named among the National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) top 24, Mike Boniel, a Negros Occidental native who suits up for Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC), was also added to the roster set to play in the NBTC All-Star Game, which is tentatively scheduled next month at SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Abadiano and Torres both play for Nazareth School of National University, while Espinosa plays with Ateneo de Manila University.
Prior to moving to SHS-AdC, Boniel previously played for Tañon College in San Carlos City.
Due to ongoing concerns surrounding the coronavirus, the NBTC national finals, along with the All-Star Game, was postponed and tentatively rescheduled from April 20 to 26./ASC, WDJ
