In response to a proclamation by President Rodrigo Duterte, the Negros Occidental Drug Rehabilitation Center (NORDC) is temporarily closed to the public as a means of reducing the risk of exposure to the coronavirus disease, or Covid-19. The facility’s executive director, Dr. Erneso A. Palanca, said they will not be accepting any new patients until further notice.
“Visitors are also prohibited from entering,” he added.
Meanwhile, this weekend, March 21, marks the facility’s 17th anniversary, which will be celebrated by personnel, patients, and caregivers with Negros Occidental Association of Barangay Captains President Juvy Pepillo, who sits on the Provincial Board, as keynote speaker.
