The Iloilo Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) will be observing “Bring your own water bottle week” beginning on March 15 as part of World Consumers Rights Day. During that time, DTI employees will avoid purchasing single-use plastic bottles for drinking needs.
According to the provincial office, “This year’s celebration focuses its campaign on the need for sustainable consumption globally as well as highlighting the important role that consumers and establishments can play.”
Additionally, DTI-Iloilo will also conduct activities to remind businesses and consumers about the importance of sustainable consumerism and how it can help address current problems. (PR)
