Swine insemination facility inaugurated in EB Magalona

Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson led yesterday’s inauguration of an artificial insemination laboratory center for swine in EB Magalona’s Barangay Gahit. According to the governor, the facility will improve livestock quality and increase productivity for pig farmers in the province’s third legislative district.
The facility, which cost P1.045 million, was part of the Provincial Genetic Improvement Project, which seeks to provide quality breeding material through the distribution of quality genetics.
In addition, a Pekin Duck Multiplier Farm was also inaugurated.
Also present for the event were EB Magalona Vice Mayor Eric Matulac; Provincial Board Members Andrew Montelibano and Manuel Frederick Ko; Barangay Gahit Captain Reynaldo Mendoza; Negros Occidental Provincial Veterinary Office head, Dr. Renante Decena; among others./WDJ
