Azkals matches postponed

Amid the ongoing threat from the coronavirus disease, or Covid-19, 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification round matches have been postponed, including three matches featuring the Philippine men’s national football team, the Azkals. The Philippines was scheduled to play Guam on March 26, China on June 4, and the Maldives on June 9.
Talks remain underway between FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation on when the matches will be rescheduled.
The Azkals’ last match took place last year, when they lost 1-0 to Syria at the Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum Stadium in Dubai, UAE.
The Philippines currently sits in third place in Group A behind Syria and China./ASC, WDJ
