Kaya FC-Iloilo finished with a 1-1 draw against Liga 1 club PSM Makassar of Indonesia last night in the ongoing 2020 AFC Cup at the Madya Stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The Iloilo City-based club found themselves with an early advantage after PSM Makassar defender Dedy Gusmawan was shown a red card in the 11th minute when he earned a second yellow following a foul on Kaya striker Takumi Uesato; however, despite being down to 10, the Indonesia outfit found themselves up 1-0 in the 22nd minute off a goal from striker Osas Saha.
Into the second half, Kaya forward Eric Giganto found an equalizer in the 50th minute off a pass from midfielder Arnel Amita.
The two sides meet again next month, April 15, at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium in Manila.
Meanwhile, Ceres-Negros FC plays Liga 1 club Bali United this evening in a closed door match at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium.
The Bacolod City-based club earlier released an advisory noting the move was made due to the ongoing threat from the coronavirus disease, or Covid-19.
“The move conforms with measures adopted by the national and local governments to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus,” the club said in a statement./ASC, WDJ
