UST women’s volleyball team sweeps FEU

The University of Santo Tomas (UST) scored a 25-20, 25-16, 25-18 sweep over Far Eastern University (FEU) on Sunday in the 82nd UAAP women’s volleyball season at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. Ejiya Laure led the win with 16 points built on 12 attacks, alongside three blocks, an ace, 14 digs, and eight receptions; while Ennajie Laure added 12 markers; Caitlyn Viray scored nine; and Imee Hernandez contributed seven.

“Maganda service namin although may mga lapses pa rin kami na di maiiwasan pero nai-correct naman (Our service game was good but there were lapses that were unable to avoid but corrected),” said UST head coach Emilio Reyes. “‘Yun ang naging team effort ‘yung nilaro namin kaya nakuha namin in straight sets (It was out team effort that we were able to win in straight sets).”

Despite the loss, Czarina Carandang and Jeanette Villareal each tallied seven points for FEU, while Ivana Agudo scored six markers./ASC, WDJ
