Iloilo City Health Office begins coronavirus trainings

The Iloilo City Health Office (CHO) recently began their trainings on the contingency plan related to the coronavirus disease, or Covid-19. Mayor Jerry P. Treñas said city-run health centers have been taught on handling and management procedures with regard to Covid-19 patients as the ongoing training program is intended for barangay health workers and other community officials.
Dr. Roland Jay D. Fortuna serves as focal person for the activity and will coordinate with barangay officials to ensure their respective barangay health emergency response teams are prepared to handle potential cases.
In addition, the mayor earlier organized a task force for the purpose of implementing disease prevention and control measures against the virus./WDJ
