Police nabbed a man wanted for murder last Wednesday at Hacienda Esmeralda 1 in Talisay City’s Barangay San Fernando. Authorities identified the suspect as 53-year-old Romel Fernandez Riofrer of the said community.

The suspect’s warrant was initially issued by now-retired Judge Reynaldo Alon of the Regional Trial Court-Branch 40 for a 2005 murder.

Riofrer was denied bail and is currently detained at the Talisay City Police Station./WDJ
