NOFA loses PFF national championship

The Negros Occidental Football Association (NOFA) fell short of the PFF U15 Boys National Championship after losing 1-0 to the National Capital Region Football Association (NCRFA) last week at the PFF National Training Center in Carmona, Cavite.
The two sides remained at a deadlock throughout regulation time with a header by Dominic Tom in the 96th minute proving to be the decisive goal.
Tom was named MVP after leading the tournament in goals, scoring nine throughout the competition; while NCRFA keeper Jose Gonzales was named ‘Best Goalkeeper’ and Martin Merino won ‘Best Defender.’
In addition, NOFA’s Dominic Austin Dreyfus took ‘Best Midfielder.’
Meanwhile, the Davao-South Regional Football Association won the consolation match after scoring a 5-1 extra time win over the Mount Apo Region Football Association./ASC, WDJ
