Integrated Bar of the Philippines convention closes in Bacolod City

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) held their Western Visayas Regional Convention and Sportsfest in Bacolod City, which came to a close over the weekend. Around 250 gathered from across the region, along with delegates from Negros Oriental, Siquijor, Palawan, and Romblon.
IBP-Negros Occidental Chapter president, Atty. Edmundo Manlapao, Jr., led the festivities with Supreme Court Associate Justice Mario Victor Leonen serving as guest of honor and keynote speaker.
In addition to lectures on a variety of subjects, there was also the Mr. and Miss IBP Talent Show; along with a sportsfest, including events such as basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, among others.
“This is a gathering I did not want to miss because this is one of the few times when I feel that I am also a lawyer,” said Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia./WDJ
