The University of Santo Tomas (UST) will be recruiting homegrown player John Bismarck Lina. Watchmen Daily Journal learned from a reliable source that the UST high school student will formalize his commitment in the coming days.
In his final year in high school, he averaged 19.3 points, 12.4 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game.
During an earlier interview, Lina hinted at his desire to play for UST in college, expressing hopes to reunite with forwards Crispin Cansino and Rhenz Abando, along with Negrense point guard Mark Nonoy.
Meanwhile, UST is currently in talks with Rain or Shine Elasto Painters center Beau Belga to serve as ‘big man’s coach.’
In addition, UST recently secured commitments from Bacolodnon players Aldave Canoy and Daniel Coo./ASC, WDJ
