Kaya FC draws
Singaporean opponent
Kaya FC-Iloilo finished their 2020 AFC Cup group stage match against Singapore Premier League side Tampines Rovers with a 0-0 draw last Wednesday at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium in Manila.
“We played a really good game in the first half but we were just unlucky; we didn’t score a goal in the first half but we had a lot of chances,” said Kaya FC head coach Oliver Colina. “At least, we still had a draw.”
“For us, it’s good also,” he added.
Tampines striker Jordan Webb and Kaya midfielder Jayson Panhay both had chances at putting their respective side ahead but were unable to break through. Meanwhile, Kaya FC goalkeeper Louie Casas came up with crucial saves against Tampines forward Boris Kopitović.
Kaya FC and Tampines Rovers currently sit atop Group H with four points each while the Iloilo City-based side carries an advantage in goal difference.
