STI-WNU chess players to

represent the Western Visayas

STI-West Negros University (STI-WNU) will represent the Western Visayas in the 2020 National Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) Meet, which begins in April in Tuguegarao City.
STI-WNU won back-to-back regional titles with Kenneth Allen Ballo-allo, Jose Charles Montalvo, and Einre Mar Abanco winning the secondary boys’ division; while Tyrone Dale of Bacolod Tay Tung High School and STI-WNU’s Karl Albert Alvaran took silver.
Meanwhile, the NOPSSCEA chess team won the collegiate division with STI-WNU’s Zillard Eslabra and John Lloyd Bautista of the University of St. La Salle (USLS) capturing gold, while Arcie Roice Sison of STI-WNU and USLS’ Kenan John Anoran took silver./ASC, WDJ
